1.10 Using Automatic Filling

At the end of the previous step, 10 down should have been filled, resulting in the following grid:

We will now use Automatic Filling to enter the remaining answers into the grid as quickly as possible. To do this, click (Filling|Fill) on the Filling toolbar. During the next few seconds you will see the grid changing as Sympathy creates the fills for you. When it has finished, a result box like this will appear (it won't necessarily show exactly the same number of fills or elapsed time):

The above result box indicates that six unique fills were found. Click on Close to dismiss the result box. The grid should now appear as shown at the start of the next step.

Note that if you are evaluating Sympathy, the grid shown above is not fillable using the smaller dictionaries provided for evaluation purposes. When the Filling Result box appears, click on Close; then use the Light|Clear All command (i.e. Clear All on the Light menu) to remove all the thematic words. Now try filling the grid again as described above.
